Technologies

Millions of acres around the world are affected by soil erosion and runoff and the deterioration of water and soil as two valuable natural resources. The secure science-based research of  TerraManus Technologies incorporate the fundamentals of soil and water management, principles of soil/tools interaction and soil erosion processes.

Our innovative ground imprinting system addresses  soil erosion, water flow management and related environmental problems, while increasing crop yields and reducing input costs to farmers.

Using a proprietary process called Hydro Forming ™, the TerraStar forms a geometric system of reservoirs (a weir system) across the surface of a field. The TerraStar is a patented, molded poly wheel that creates weir systems of Geometrically Ordered Roughness (GOR) that

Increase crop yields and enhance plant health

Reduce soil erosion and water run-off

Recharge aquifers and reverse desertification through improved water management and increased filtration

Reduce pollution of waterways

Improve soil quality by increased residual soil moisture and enhanced stability

This technology works differently than other soil modification devises, because the weir systems are created in such a way as to consolidate the soil without causing compaction. The walls of these weirs are formed of various curves and angles, all of which increase the soil surface area and hold and control flowing water while allowing it to penetrate into the soil.  Moreover, soil erosion and surface ponding on fields are significantly reduced because rainfall and irrigation water are held where they fall, thereby reducing runoff and increasing the rate of water penetration into the soil.
